The West Hills Community College District announces a vacancy on its Board of Trustees due to the resignation of Trustee Raymond Jack Minnite, Trustee Area 2. The District will appoint an individual to fill the vacancy. The appointee will hold office until the next Governing Board Member election, which occurs at the Statewide General Election in November 2018.
Individuals interested in being considered for this appointment must submit a completed Candidate Application no later than Monday, August 7, 2017 at 12:00 noon. All applications will be date and time stamped.

At a meeting scheduled for 2:00 pm on August 22, 2017, the Board of Trustees of the West Hills Community College District will interview candidates, appoint the new Board member, and administer the Oath of Office. Candidates must be present to be considered and will be asked to provide a three-minute presentation and answer questions from Board members. Candidates will be evaluated on the basis of how well they represent their community and on their commitment to student welfare and public education. Final selection shall be by majority vote of the Board.
